This short-sleeve men's shirt has the classic tee fit. The front graphic proudly has the U.S. and South Dakota flags crisscrossing each other. In bold gold and black lettering is the” Sturgis Harley-Davidson®” logo, followed by the Harley-Davidson® bar and shield, and “South Dakota” at the bottom. Reverse it and see the graphic reflecting Fort Meade’s history. Starting at the top are planks of a wagon draped on both sides by the U.S. flag. The center of the planks has an emblem with the Cavalry riding into battle. In the middle is a Howitzer field gun and an Army Harley-Davidson® ready for battle. At the bottom covering crisscrossed swords is the Harley-Davidson® bar and shield. Fort Meade has rich history and was established in 1878 as a military post to protect miners and settlers traveling in the Black Hills area. From an active Cavalry to present day, Fort Meade still serves as a training site for the South Dakota National Guard and Army National Guard Office Candidate School. In 1944 it became part of the Veterans Administration Hospital network which still operates today serving our many Veterans. Interesting fact: It was at Fort Meade where the Star Spangled Banner first became the official music for the military retreat ceremony, long before it became the National Anthem. This patriotic t-shirt with a rib-knit neck trim helps retain shape wash-after-wash and is great for those devoted rides. Color choices: Black or Charcoal Grey
