History of Challenge Coins
Challenge coins surfaced during the World War I era. The practice of carrying a coin designed specifically for a unit was popular with the Army Special Forces. Carrying the coin at all times and presenting it when "challenged" to prove affiliation with that unit resulted in a number of consequences for those who could not produce a coin; the most popular required the coinless soldier to buy a round of drinks. That practice continues to be popular today.

Perfect condition, Quick shipment, and bonus decal included. Great deal.
While at Sturgis, I made it a point to go to all of the local HD dealers to purchase a challenge coin from each. I did so for all HD dealers except Deadwood.....was told by staff personnel that "we do not make that challenge coin any longer". After going online and seeing it, I purchased it and the item was shipped in time for me to have when I got home from Sturgis. No clue why personnel there would lie or not be informed about it but aside from that, it's definitely my favorite of all the challenge coins!!!!!
